Child's Age: 7 months Why were you looking for a Babies at the Barre™ class? Needed to get back into shape after having a baby. Why did you first attend Babies at the Barre™? Learned about it from the New Mom Network Thoughts about your participation in class or 1:1 session? Tori provided a well rounded workout that I hurt enough to know I worked hard, but not enough to prevent me from other duties in my life. She was flexible when my toddler wanted to crawl around instead of stay in the ergo. Great workout! Results from attending classes: I met several other moms and had a great workout at the same time. Your recommendation: Definitely recommend Tori's workout.

Child's Age: 1 Year Why were you looking for a Babies at the Barre™ class? I was looking for an activity during the day that incorporated exercise for me with socialization with other kids for my baby. Why did you first attend Babies at the Barre™? I found out about Babies at the Barre through a flyer posted in my neighborhood's coffee shop. I thought the idea was genius and couldn't wait to attend! Being able to do something that was an activity I enjoyed pre-baby, without having to hire a sitter or spend time away from my baby and husband gave me a sense of not losing myself in becoming 'mom'. I left my Babies at the Barre class feeling like 'I got this'! Thoughts about your participation in class or 1:1 session? My baby, who I wear front and inward-facing, weighs 24 pounds and falls asleep as soon as I wear him, making me feel like I'm wearing a small elephant. Tori adjusted the moves that we were doing to be effective, but also safe and comfortable for me and my baby, all without making me feel like I was doing a modified (read: watered down) version of the class. Results from attending classes: I'm pretty active and do a lot of hiking while baby-wearing, and am familiar with barre classes having been a Pure Barre member before having a baby. Despite having some experience and pretty accurate expectations of the type of moves we'd be doing, Tori's class kicked my butt and it felt so good! During the class I felt like the moves were challenging, but nothing that would leave more sore the next day. Boy was I wrong. I woke up feeling muscles I didn't know I had, and have never felt better! Why did you first attend Babies at the Barre™? I had always wanted to try a Barre class and this seemed like the perfect way to start. Thoughts about your participation in class or 1:1 session? Babies at the Barre was the perfect way for me to get back into a fitness routine after having my baby. Results from attending classes: After attending class I felt more confident that I could find time to workout and enjoy my baby. Your recommendation: I recommend Babies at the Barre™ to anyone looking to jump back into a postpartum workout routine. You can push yourself only as far as you want and Tori will support you along the way. |
